Hi! I’m Nena from Sydney, Australia. Since I was a child, I was fascinated by the way my mom and grandmother were preparing and serving food. I was always drawn to spend time in the kitchen watching them create magic, which lead me to develop love for food.
I started my food journey early in my life. I always enjoyed preparing food and catering to people closest to me. For me food was always more than just a meal – it was a story, love, passion and excitement. I felt the need to capture the moment and energy.
I have travelled the world and immersed myself in all different cuisines that got all my senses awoken. The smell, texture, vibrance – I had to start capturing those incredible moments. That’s where my photography journey started.
I‘m grateful to be able to combine my two passions – love for the food and photography. I see every dish as a story that needs to be told. My goal is to style and capture a moment as if a person is there admiring the masterpiece, ready to take a bite or a sip. I want to evoke the taste, smell and texture of the dish.
When shooting for a client, I always try to understand the background and story behind it, to be able to represent it in the way it deserves. In my professional journey, I am honored to work with independent cafes & restaurants, boutique brands as well as national and international franchise clients.
